Now that COVID-19 lockdown is being relaxed, industries are gradually preparing to start their operations after a long, forced shutdown. With all manufacturing activities shutdown, the economy has also come to a grinding halt. It is now expected of engineers that we achieve the full capacity at the earliest. While workplace safety of Men & Machines is now more critical than ever we cannot afford to have Failures and Breakdowns of critical assets like pumps as it will have a grave impact on the bottom line of the industry.
The “Pump” has the same place in an industry as that of a heart in a human body. It is every company's lifeline and it's continued availability ensures the survival of the Industry.
In today's industrial world, the profitability of any modern-day process industry to a very great extent depends upon, the reliability of its pumps along with other critical equipment.
View foregoing Industries across the country need to be very vigilant and adapt to the “new normal” for survival. We have to review and revisit traditional pump maintenance practices as also re-skill and up-skill our workforce.
