Operation, Maintenance and Condition Monitoring of High & Low Voltage Electrical Equipment

Electrical machinery/equipment and system shall be operated & maintained properly and protected from all possible abnormalities to ensure uninterrupted power supply. However, in critically loaded power system,  proper and adequate maintenance is difficult. With the use of condition monitoring technique, optimization of maintenance is now possible. Moreover, the use of conditional monitoring allows maintenance to be scheduled, or other actions to be taken to avoid the consequences of failure, before the failure occurs. In today's competitive environment, performance improvement is one of the major business requirement. This training program aims to cover all the major aspects of electrical activities commonly found in the industry.

Course Objective:

The participants will learn about various operating procedures, systematic maintenance practices, Troubleshooting, handling emergency condition of all major HV/LV electrical equipment.

About the Faculty – Mr. Indranil Ghosh

The faculty has a legacy of 35 years of versatile experience in operation, maintenance, engineering and training in the major Power & Energy sector organizations of India like Tata Power, Adani Power and Essar  Power. He has extensive experience in the areas of Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution. He had worked in power generating units of various sizes and types. He is now involved in consultancy and training. He has been conducting various Executive Development Programs for the past several years in  India and abroad.

He was also involved in -

• Inspection and QA/QC of any Electrical Equipment used in Power Generation Plants (Thermal, Hydro &  Bio-gasifier) and Electrical Transmission (up to 400kV), Receiving and Distribution system.
• Headed Electrical Maintenance Department of a Thermal Power Plant
• Served as General Manager (Energy Services)
• Conducted pan India and overseas training programs on Energy Conservation, Plant Efficiency  Improvement and other related fields

He is also a published author of a few Self Improvement books. He has written articles for various leading Indian magazines and published many technical papers.
