About the Event

Course Objective and Take Away

Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to identify energy wastages occurring in electrical utilities and chalk out and implement action plans for reducing the same, thus optimizing the energy efficiency of the system.

This course will help the participants –

  • to impart conceptual knowledge and practical approach for improving energy efficiency of electrical utilities, Power distribution system etc. and methods to conduct efficiency study
  • to understand how power quality issues can adversely affect power system reliability
  • to follow harmonics mitigation techniques and the criteria for harmonics filtering and mitigation
  • to get a clear picture about Earthing, Grounding and Bonding
  • to demonstrate through actual site measurements the saving potential and actual savings achieved by implementing suitable measures
  • to understand and resolve Power Quality issues including Harmonics, Power Factor, Reactive Power management
  • in preparing for Energy Auditor Examination
  • to become aware of the Energy Management System (EnMS) – ISO 50001
  • to demonstrate through actual site measurements the saving potential and actual savings achieved by implementing suitable measures
  • in interpreting and analysing the power quality-related incidents

If the acquired knowledge is implemented, the organisation will be able to:

  • Reduced operating cost due to improved energy efficiency
  • Improved health of the equipment
  • Improve overall electrical performances

Who Should Attend?
