About The Faculties

Mr. G S Baveja

Mr. Baveja is a renowned Senior Management Professional from Oil Industry in India having vast experience in Power Sector, Refinery and leading strategic corporate functions. His career spans over 12 years in the Power Sector & 26 years in Oil and Gas sector of India. He is a blend of top corporate leadership, HR and HSE functions. The significant feature of leadership experience has been that of Head of entity of Corporate HSE- a critical responsibility.

Apart from being a management leader with diverse experience and skill set, he has been part of & led several Safety Audits across various industries & Oil installations both in government & the private sector. He spearheaded various initiatives like Corporate Sustainability reporting, Water Harvesting initiatives for continuous improvement besides core HSE activities. During his career with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (Fortune 500 an Indian Oil PSU), he handled major assignments like “Projects”, “Materials”, “Energy & Environment”, "Advisory Engineering”, “Engineering & Construction” in Refinery and at Corporate level assignments like Administration, Corporate Social Responsibility, HRS. Lastly, as a corporate HSE Head, he has guided the safety policies, monitoring and improvement activities of the organization. He has wide exposure having visited several Power plant & Oil installations in India. With a track record of handling complex projects, diverse teams and strategic corporate overview, Mr. Baveja has a deep understanding of the needs and dynamics of achieving operating excellence and the sensitivities associated with Safety performance. He is a passionate and engaging communicator and has addressed several industry fora and professional seminars both in India & overseas. Mr. Baveja is currently a freelance HSE & Sustainability Consultant in the areas of safety, leadership and corporate development.

Mr. Baveja is a Mechanical engineer by profession and has also acquired advanced management skill from various institutes in India & abroad. He has attended the Advanced Management Programs at the prestigious International Management Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia and IIM, Ahmedabad.

He has been engaged by various national & international consultancy organizations to undertake assignments on OHSE like National Safety Council of India, SGS India Ltd., DNV Ltd., KPMG Ltd., Bureau Veritas, IR CLASS etc.

To his credentials, Mr. Baveja has conducted about 250 training programs both in India & abroad 70% of these are in the domain of core OHSE. He had the opportunity to conduct OHSE audits for more than 130 diverse industrial plants/units at various locations both in India and abroad. On various OHSE assignments, he visited countries like Oman, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Sudan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia and China etc.

Mr. A A Raichur

Technical Advisor – Head of Consultancy section at National Safety Council. He is renowned Senior Management, Professional from Oil Industry in India having vast experience – GM corporate SHE, of Hindustan petroleum corporation, with chemical & Petroleum engineering background. He also completed a diploma in industrial safety, a course in fire from industrial civil defence, occupational health, environment, industrial risk management, Hazop area classification etc.

48 year of work experience, 40 years in the oil industry, in Production, Technical, project and Fire safety and 8 years in NSC, worked in Kuwait and Bahrein and Oman oil company as a safety expert.
