Online Training Program

About the Event

Water auditing detailed out water uses, loses and wastes of any particular project with all the water processing undergoing. A comprehensive water use audit will examine the major areas in which a facility uses water, including sanitation, maintenance, mechanical systems, building processes and irrigation. Also, a water audit can identify some of the large potential savings that can be achieved through the recycling of water and optimization of water use. Water audit takes into consideration water quantity as well as water quality.

Objectives of Water Audit

Water audits trace water use from its point of entry into the facility/system to its discharge into the sewer. The audit also identifies and quantifies unaccountable water losses, leaks at each point of use within and around the facility:

  • To assess water source and quality of water
  • To assess the quantity of water consumption
  • To identify & study the pattern of water consumption
  • To evaluate optimum water demand

The training program will help professional to make their designs eco-friendly and sustainable. The broad objective of the training program is to develop an understanding among the professionals about the universal processes/methodology/approach and design adopted in water quality management. It also aims to strengthen their technical and managerial capabilities in planning, executing, operating and maintaining the water quality management system:

  • To assess water losses
  • To evaluate water saving
  • To identify water quality protection
  • To assess solutions to water protection and saving
  • To establish a record for reference with all findings & study
  • To find out the Water Footprint real & virtual

Benefits of Water Audit

A water audit is a quantitative and qualitative analysis of water consumption to encourage minimizing, recycling and reusing of water. Water audit improves the knowledge and documentation of the distribution system, problem and risk areas and a better understanding of what are happening to the water after it leaves the source point. Leak detection programs help in minimizing leakages and tackling small problems before they become major ones. These programs lead to:

  • Reduced water losses
  • Improved financial performance
  • Improved reliability of supply system
  • Enhanced knowledge of the distribution system
  • Efficient use of existing supplies
  • Reduced disruption

The training program is designed to facilitate the management for followings –

  • To understand the ground reality of Water consumption production, waste generation & environment abatement measures
  • To assist facility management to increase performance & water efficient usage
  • To improve water & risk management systems for protecting an organisation from potential liabilities
  • To assess compliance for water sector policies per local, regional and national laws and regulation
  • To provide up-to-date water & wastewater data to the inspecting & other authorities
  • To help management in decision-making for future financial plans with investment in water availability, water quality and water management
